Seminar and Workshop Details

Subject:

ARM9 Linux Hands-On Workshop

Content:

Everybody is talking about Linux, many developers want to use Linux because of portability and flexibility. But until now often Linux was only an OS for a "real Linux freak". Reason for this is a hard to calculate risk of orientation, because the long way from tool installation up to building first application and debugging often is not accompanied by the chip manufacturer.

Different with Atmel:  For the whole SAM9 ARM926EJ family, which brings performance 400DMIPs+, Atmel offers a complete Linux board support package (BSP), which you may use for your Linux project. In this workshop you will learn on your own notebook in comprehensive hands-on sessions, how to write device drivers, graphical application and how to debug with GDB.

You will use Atmel's latest AT91SAM9G45 platform with High-Speed USB, powerful TFT/LCD controller, Ethernet etc., which runs at 400MHz.
