Atmel’s Three New AVR32® Flash MCUs
The AT32UC3L064 Family Features Ultra-Low Power!
AT32UC3L064 is the new generation of ultra-low power 32-bit microcontrollers (available at MSC Vertriebs GmbH) which based on Atmel’s powerful AVR32 architecture.
With 0.5 mW/MHz in active mode these devices consume a quarter less of the power than other 32-bit architectures. Therefore the device family is adequate for various battery driven applications.
The programmable event system directs the peripherals to operate together in precise programmed sequences, without any CPU intervention. This saves current compared to interrupt driven applications while further the timing is predictable.
Additionally this family implements the next generation of ADCs. It supports up to 12-bit resolution at a sample rate of up to 460 ksps. Up to eight analogue comparators and 36 selectable PWM channels suit this family for various motor control and lighting applications.
Elements of the Capacitive Touch of Quantum Research Group are implemented in the hardware. This enables an easy and reliable design of capacitive touch systems.
The AT32UC3L064 family is available in a 16, 32 and 64 KB Flash version with protectable Flash sections for security. An unique device ID can be used for serial numbers or encryption.
All devices are supported by the AVR32 Studio and its integrated Software Framework as well as by third parties like IAR among others.
