04D-12-16 – Tiny DC/DC-Converter provides 0.75 to 5 Volts with up to 16 Ampere

Dimensions of not more than 33 x 13.5 x 7.7 mm characterize the 04D-12-16
DC/DC converter from YDS.
It accepts an input voltage of 12 V (8.3 to 14 V) and converts it into an user
programmable output voltage of 0.75 to 5.0 V that provides a load current of 16
A.
The 04D-12-16, now available at MSC Vertriebs GmbH, has an efficiency of 92% that remains almost the same with partial loads down to 40%. The converter is open circuit save, has built-in under voltage lockout and short circuit protection. In addition the 04D-12-16 features an input reflected ripple current of just 30 mApp, a line regulation of ±0,3%, a load regulation of ±0,4% and a low output ripple and noise of 30 mV.
The specs also include an excellent dynamic load response and a MTBF rating of 6.704 x 105 hrs according to MIL-HDBK-217F. The 04D-12-16 has remote sense and remote on/off.
Typical applications are distributed power supplies, network equipment, data communication systems, embedded computers and industrial controls.
