Leadfree Products (RoHS- and WEEE-Directives)


Two EU directives which concern the contents substances of electrical and electronic equipment as well as of motor vehicles were approved in February 2003.

The following guidelines are affected by it:

§ Directive 76/769/EEC on the restriction of the marketing and use of certain dangerous substances and preparations with all amendments till 11 March 2004.

§ Directive 2002/95/EG of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 January 2003 on the restriction of the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment

§ Directive 2000/53/EG of the European Parliament and of the Council of 18 September 2000 on end-of life vehicles
