In the food industry and chemistry, process analysis is an important task. Thus here the measurement of density is vitally important.
The density of a fluid depends on its concentration. Because a change of concentration causes a variation in sound velocity, a change of density may be determined by a time measurement. Considering up to date instruments, a resolution of about 500ps is state of the art – no problem for our TDCs.
