ARM9 and ARM11 Processors
|
|
Based on the popular 32-bit
Cortex-M0 and Cortex-M3 cores, Samsung has a number of interesting products
especially for motor control applications and the control of LCDs (up to 80 x 32
segments). However, thanks to the wide variety of interfaces such as USB, CAN,
etc. and large on-chip memory, these MCUs are also suited for other areas of
application.

|
High-performance, full USB
functionality (host / function / OTG), integrated graphics controllers and
powerful audio interfaces are the features of Samsung’s ARM9 and ARM11
processors. The S5P6440 device, manufactured using the latest 45 nm technology
and thus extremely cost-effective, is particularly interesting.

SAM8 – Ccost Effective 8-bit MCUs
|
|
The high-performance Cortex-A8
and Cortex-A9 processors - provided with audio and video features, 2D/3D
graphics accelerators, HDMI and TFT display controllers - offer users almost
unlimited possibilities. The devices are ideally suited for PC solutions as well
as for high-end handheld or control applications.
|

|
A large number of 8-bit MCUs are
available from Samsung especially for cost-sensitive LCD applications, low pin
count projects, etc. With many of these application-specific devices, among
other things, LCDs with up to 80 x 16 segments can be controlled.
