In 1931, the International
Commission on illumination (CIE) devised a method for representing color. The
CIE 1931 Chromaticity Diagram is a tool intended to illustrate the way the human
eye experiences light, using an x, y coordinate system. The outer boundary
represents colors with a purity of 100% and the wavelength is listed in
nanometers.
- Warm White: 2600 K - 3700 K
- Neutral White: 3700 K - 5000 K
- Outdoor White: 400 K - 5300 K
- Cool White: 5000 K - 8300 K
